If You Got One Foot in Tomorrow and One Foot in Yesterday

I think it was about 6 months back when I wrote the post Just Be Here, Be Now and started to realise how important it is to live in the present, to live in the now. Although it's easier said than done, but I do at the very least try to inculcate this kind of thinking into myself because it does free you in a way. You no longer see the point of living in the past and at the same time, trying to project yourself forward to the non-existent future you think you'll be happy with.

So keeping what I learnt in mind, I recently came across a dialogue from a television scene that went: "If you got one foot in Tomorrow and one foot in Yesterday, you'll piss on Today."

  1. Good post, I've also been thinking about living right here and now. Living in Japan has not been easy, and sometimes i try to hold to the faith that back home will be better. That was really good at a moment, when i was really sad, but now it is stoping me from enjoying my life.

I will try to live now and to enjoy every moment!
(though too much sex can be dangerous... I dont want to catch STDs -_- )

    1. Hi Edo! Take it easy there my friend. We all respond to life differently because of our own mind, emotions and thoughts. I think there are some issues one needs to work out before they can start living life with a clear head and purpose. Things will get better, they always do. So I hope it all works out for you and that you'll find true happiness real soon.

If you'd like somebody to talk to or perhaps even listen to you, write to me! I'll be here.
