How to Use the Law of Attraction by WikiHow

Here is a really good article by WikiHow on how to use or apply the Law of Attraction effectively in your life. The pictorial illustrations in this write up make for a good reminder and visual guide on how to ask the universe for your dreams.

Many crucial key points are written under the Tips and Warnings section at the bottom of the article. Click HERE to visit the page. I hope this helps.

  1. Thanks for the link :) I've been aware of the law of attraction for a couple of years now, since watching "The Secret" and have kind of been on and off it since; I go through phases of really practising it and all, and then I have times where I either just forget it or I actively get angry because I just don't see the point.. There is definitely truth in some aspects of it though, such as the power of visualisation to help you to achieve your goals. What are your thoughts on the law of attraction exactly? Do you practice it regularly? Just interested haha :p

    1. Hi there, no problem! Hope it helps. Yes, I am an avid believer and do make it a point to practice this law in my everyday life. From the smallest and easiest things to the bigger more impossible ones. For example, I use it all the time when I'm looking for something as simple as a parking space in a crowded mall. It works EVERY TIME.

But there are times too when things don't work out and it messes with my head. I get frustrated and am flooded with doubt, which is the ultimate killer to the law because you "don't trust".

I have lived by the power of visualisation and emotional calling since young without knowing that that's the official scientific term. It has brought me a lot of positive things, from amazing travels to getting a new iPad, final exam failures to deepest fears come to live.

In fact, I wrote about how a poster in my room of a view from atop the Empire State Building in New York City activated the Law of Attraction that brought me there. The link is here: http://gayandinvisible.blogspot.com/2012/06/how-law-of-attraction-brought-me-to-new.html

I would say that the Law of Attraction is not "the answer to everything in life" like how some people might like to criticise it, but it is without a doubt, one of the many laws that are constantly working in life.

Tell me more about how you practice it please! For the more we talk about it, the more effective this law will become in our lives! :)

  2. Thankyou for the detailed and informative reply :) Great to hear its working for you to a certain extent! Personally I just like to picture outcomes to certain situations the way I'd like them to happen and for things which I have more control over, it seems to have worked for example getting good exam grades but of course a lot of that is down to my own hard work, although I'm sure the visualisation played a large role too.. Things such as picturing a parcel arriving on the day I want it to seem to be much more hit and miss and its things like that which frustrate me.. At the moment I'm using it more for looking towards and picturing the future exactly how I want it such as going to the university I want and so on, which will hopefully have a higher success rate as its things like that I have a bigger influence on.. Only time will tell if its working but I suppose blind faith in it is the only way forward ;)

    1. Hey I know exactly what you're talking about. You're not alone. I find that the Law of Attraction tend to fail me miserably when it comes to dealing with specific timing, or whenever I try to give it a "time frame" for things to come to me.

The truth is, it doesn't work because it falls under the category of "us trying to make things happen" which is not our job. Our job is to ask, believe and receive. It is not our responsibility to tell the universe "when" to give us what we want.

So in your case with the parcel, I think what you should be visualising is yourself "opening the parcel" or ACT and THINK like you already HAVE the parcel, or if the parcel is already IN your house because that is the REAL ENDING you want with that parcel, and not of the parcel "arriving today, arriving today, arriving today" which is exactly what the universe will continue to give you, "the parcel WILL ARRIVE today" which actually means "you still DON'T HAVE IT".

    2. I think the key in this scenario is to not allow yourself to feel "empty" without the parcel. As long as there is a hint of emotion or doubt in you that makes you feel like "you don't have the parcel", then the Law of Attraction is not being applied correctly. Walk around and feel it as if you already have it my friend! Play and experiment with it. :)

    3. Wow thanks for that reply, I actually found it so helpful the way you put it because I never really considered the implication of not having something whilst wishing for it to come and your more positive thinking and visualisation approach makes a lot more sense. I will have to try it and keep you updated, I'm very glad we had this conversation :) I read your post about the Empire State building poster and found it very inspiring, I too hope I'll have a moment like this later in life... I used to keep a mood board of images to inspire me in my room but later took it down in an attempt to make the space more minimal haha... maybe it would help me to try this again, I've got nothing to lose :) Do you also have something similar?

    4. Actually I do. I make myself a digital mood board that I save on my phone or tablet computer that I try to state into sometimes. But I think it needs more work in terms of inducing powerful emotion to attract the dream.

The panoramic poster I have of Midtwon Manhattan is definitely a much better example because firstly the poster was huge and it was constantly in my face. And secondly because every time I look at it, it does makes me FEEL. I can't describe it, but it works! So maybe the important tip here to is find the objects that work personally for you in bringing those "I already have" emotions to live. Sorry, I'm rambling.
